Since February of 2010 children with cognitive limitations have the opportunity to be trained in the use of technological tools, to strengthen their learning skills in various areas of knowledge and receive assessment of their education by specialists.
Headquarters in the Valley Educational Institution Gamuez (Putumayo), a group of 18 children with cognitive limitations, between 7 and 8 years of age, elementary school, were linked the activities of CACI 1344, since February of this year, becoming the protagonists of the project "Interactive Mathematics", whose main objective is to develop skills for meaningful learning mathematical operations.
Thanks to space provided by telecentres now know solving addition and subtraction and have achieved an understanding of these processes by applying them to everyday situations, all for the appropriate use of technology tools as the promoter Doris Mosquera.
This methodology has been so successful that it has also been applied to other fields of knowledge such as language, painting and dance.
Parents say the most valuable part of this project is that their children have received care from specialists for free which would not have been as easy without the support of Call Centre due to lack of funds, say they now they and the teachers of their children can have more reliable information on the degree of educational performance before and after training.
